At Horizon Credit Union, we recognize that our most
important asset is our members’ trust. As financial service
professionals entrusted with sensitive financial
information, we respect the privacy of our members and are
committed to treating member information responsibly. Our
Financial Privacy Promise serves as a standard for all
Horizon Credit Union employees for collection, use,
retention, and security of individual member information.
RECOGNITION OF A MEMBER’S
EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY
At Horizon Credit

member information is one of our fundamental
responsibilities. While information is critical to
providing quality service, the safekeeping of member
information is a priority for Horizon Credit Union.
MEMBER BENEFITS OF

tell you why we are collecting and retaining it upon your
request. We use information to protect and administer your
records, accounts, and funds; to comply with certain laws
and regulations; to help us design or improve our products
and services; and to understand your financial needs so that
we can provide you with quality products and superior
service. The provisions of this policy explain these
concepts in greater detail.
MAINTENANCE OF ACCURATE

At Horizon Credit

confidentiality of member information, and employees who
violate this Privacy Promise will be subject to disciplinary
measures.

new technology for protecting information. Our employees
are trained to understand and comply with these information
principles.
